PoorBest

The first public version of SnipSnip is now available for download. This is a tool I've been building on and off for the past year, and it's an easy way to do screen captures for documentation, bug reports, etc. It also allows some very basic editing functionality.

SnipSnip tools

SnipSnip includes some basic editing tools, like a freehand pen to draw with and the ability to draw rectangles on the captures. It also allows you to put text annotations on the capture and to do some basic image size adjustments like resizing, trimming and cropping.

SnipSnip capture modes

SnipSnip also has 4 different capture modes, all of which can be delayed so you have time to prepare the capture by opening menues, selecting text, etc.

SnipSnip shortcuts

Every function in SnipSnip is mapped to a shortcut key, and all shortcut keys (with a few exceptions for system wide shortcuts like copy/paste and help) can be remapped to whatever you'd like them to be. SnipSnip also stores all settings in your local user profile, so you can share a computer and still have your own prefered settings.

Best of all, SnipSnip is free for personal and non-profit organizations.

Download SnipSnip version 1.0.2717.1411 with an installer.

Since this is the first public stable release, there is no change log. To see the changelog from previous public beta releases please read the readme.txt provided in the download.
